Amy:

Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Certified Nutritional Coach

Thank you for visiting My Healthy Behavior. My name is Amy, and I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Certified Nutritional Coach. My greatest strength as a coach is that I’M HUMAN; I understand where you are coming from. I take a scientific, yet human and humble approach to coaching. Knowing that our behavior is influenced by our environment, history of reinforcement and punishment allows me to help my clients dig deep into the behavior chains that evoke their selection and consumption choices regarding food.

My guess is many of you know what you should be eating, how much you should be eating and that you should be moving your body, YET you still have a dysfunctional relationship with food or your body. I GET IT! I want to help my clients make choices they can live with and create healthy patterns of behavior that work in a variety of settings and can continue over the course of a lifetime. Whether you are looking to change your behaviors regarding nutrition (increase confidence in making better choices), ramp up your fitness, decrease your self- punishment, manage your stress or simply if you need to be held accountable, I am here for you.

Courtney:

Hi! Welcome to My Healthy Behavior! After decades of suffering from wanting to be someone different and in a different body, I finally began the ongoing journey of what’s often called Radical Self Acceptance. I am a Holistic Health and Nutrition Coach, Fitness Trainer,  a Yoga Medicine Instructor, and on my way to be a Strategic Intervention RMT Life Coach. Mostly, I am a wife and mom of four and a Highly Sensitive Person who, on any given day feels every emotion there is, and has worked hard to find ease and love for myself and my body. I will say with all honesty, I am finally at a place where I embrace all that I am...all the deep joys and all the deep hurts, all the successes and all the failures.

In my one on one sessions and my group coaching, I guide, empower, and educate my clients so they may choose the life long exciting path of self discovery. I believe in order for us to modify our behaviors and make the choices that serve us better, we must first begin by understanding ourselves.

Kevin:

Board Certified Behavior Analyst and co-founder Behavior Analyst Supervisor

Hello, I’m Kevin. I’m a board certified behavior analyst. Being healthier is not about restricting yourself and feeling guilty when it ultimately fails. It’s also not about losing a set number of pounds. It’s not even an end goal, one where you’ll live happily ever after. You can recognize how silly it sounds if someone tells you, “If I could just lose 20 pounds, that would be my ideal weight, then I’d be satisfied.” The truth about being human is that “perfection” is a moving target.

I try to apply the science of human behavior to my everyday life. Applied behavior analysis (ABA) and psychological research tells us a lot about what works and what doesn’t. For instance, a reliance on willpower most likely fails to help and actually makes matters worse. Don’t get me wrong, change most certainly can be achieved, and is still difficult. What’s helpful is to take your journey one step at a time and focus on making small, yet significant, changes in your behavior. Each step forward (or backward) is an opportunity for you to feel empowered and confident.
